Things are a little rough for Lucy and her family as the debt becomes more of an issue and the pharmacy they have had forever is not bringing in much income.Lucy seems to be a natural at problem solving. She  is always wondering about the future of the pharmacy because she loves it so much her grandmother and mom try to tell her not to worry it is not her place but she cant help it.
After then , not only she becomes Old Mill's go-to make-up artist/beauty consultant, but she also starts to hatch a plan that might very well salve the pharmacy, particularly after she combines it with all the things she's been learning at Earth club.
Each chapter starts off with a beauty tip for the readers. The pharmacy issue takes a big part of "My life in Pink & Green" but the story has its happy parts as well. This book is a funny and sweet with a narrator who knows what she wants in life , whether it’s great makeup. The plot of the story is very interesting it will leave you wanting more to find out how the story ends. The ending of the story is quite shocking and caught me off guard. I would recommend this book to pre-teens and teenagers. Girls from 12-16 because every girl has a girly side they can get in touch with.

Charlie has been having a hard time ever since his brother died. In addition to that, after the tragic car accident he survived he starts having a connection with the afterlife. During this car crash, Charlie survives but his younger brother does not. In the tragic but loving novel by author Ben Sherwood. Through the story Charlie learns that he has to let his brother go and focus on his own life and stop living for his brother. Charlie works at the Cemetery by Day and by Sunset goes to meet the spirit of his dead little brother until the next morning. This promise between the brothers is kept for the rest of Charlie's life. The story  takes place in Massachusetts. During this story Charlie falls in love with a girl named "Tess".
Charlie ST. Cloud  is a eye-opening and story of commitment and compassion. This story effectively shows the true meaning on commitment and compassion. Told from third person point of view.
Throughout the story, readers see Charlie grow as a character overall for example he goes from being irresponsible to a man that take responsbility for his actions, and growing from a boy to a man.
Filled with unforgettable characters, Charlie St. Cloud is one of those good quick reads that will leave you wanting more. I would recommend this book to students of ages fifteen and up just because of the content. Its one of those story's that leaves you wanting to know more about the world of the unknown. Turning pain and sorrow into joy and content. This book reveled to me that sometimes accidnet

The A List”

If you are looking for a book that shows the upper class life style of New York this book is for you.  The “ A List” was written by Zoey Dean.  The Main Character Anna matures as a young adult she lives a life with rules and advantages with her money situation.  She moves to Los Angeles with her father because she wants to get an entertainment internship and also to just get out of New York and try something new! She wants to live the L.A life style.  On Anna’s voyage to L.A she meets the “sexy” Ben on an airplane. They automatically made a “connection”. Anna realizes that her father stood her up at the airport and then Ben gives her an invitation to an “A list” wedding and she IMMEDIATELY accepts his offer.  Anna starts to realize that her father stood her up at the airport and at lunch and she begins to wonder if he even wants her down in L.A with him.  As the night continues drama occurs with Anna and three other women( Cammie, Sam and Dee because they are jealous that Ben has a sudden interest in Anna and not them.  In my opinion this book is very good just because I can relate to the main character in many ways.

Anna is a well- rounded character she has amazing grades and she is good with people. Her school record is absolutely clean she goes to a bland prep school.  She is a perfect example of beauty, money and intelligence. Her father is a flake because he ditched her at lunch and at the airport in Los Angeles.  I enjoyed the Plot of the “Upper east side of New York and the fabulous life style of Los Angeles. Also just because I can relate to Anna in some ways.  The suspense would probably have to be the fighting between the women over Ben.  This story is sort of realistic and in some ways not realistic at all but love comes in many shapes and forms and makes you do crazy things. The conflict was between mainly the women and Anna but there was some conflict between Anna and her father.  “ Ben actually”. He held out his hand. Birnbaum .” She shook it. “Anna Percy.” He had great hands She didn’t let go. That was when Anna had her epiphany: It was really happening. Thirteen years of Cynicism had not gone for naught after all.”  (15). This is when Anna noticed that her and Ben really had chemistry; this story was not scary at all. There were some funny parts but this story wasn’t meant to be funny in my opinion.

This book was good to an extent because some parts were a little boring at one point. I really enjoyed the book because I could really connect wit the character Anna.  This book had a good plot and it always have me interested sometimes it was hard to put down. I was done reading it within 3 hours because its amusing short and a good teenage read. It really shows the fun on a life within Upper Class lifestyle.

I would recommend this book to girls over 15 or 16 just because it’s a little mature for younger ages and the language is not the best. I would probably recommend this book to girls because it is a girl book and boys probably would not be interested. A couple of reasons why I would not recommend this book to people younger than fifteen is because it had sexual content and it has bad language.  It also has drug use in the novel.  Also because the plot of this book is just more mature.  Beside those topics The “ A- list” was a great story and I would recommend it for any teenager who is into things such as these.

Everything on a Waffle
Everything on a Waffle by Polly Horvath tells the story of an eleven year old girl named Primrose Squarp after he parents get lost at sea.She does not believe that they are dead and she refuses to attend their memorial service.  Primrose is back and forth  moving from house to house between her two caregivers Uncle Jack and Miss Perfidy. The setting on the story is in Coal Harbour, British Columbia. Throught the story Primrose suffers two very serious accidents and then is put in foster care. This story was a okay story it was not boring but it did not have a lot of action. A young girl trying to find out were she fits in in life.

The main character in the story is Primrose a eleven year old girl, she is watched by her Uncle Jack and her elderly neighbor Miss Perfidy since her parents are "dead" or lost at sea. She does not believe that her parents are dead. She thinks they are stranded somewhere looking for help. The plot to the story was good the story was interesting and involved adventure which I personally enjoyed. The writing was simple and did not use huge words which I thought was ok because I like big words. The theme of the story in my view was strength because Primrose had strength the whole time that her parents were still alive and she did not let anyone tell her otherwise. This story shows that the little girl has trust and strength in her parents and how she still believes they are alive and that they are lost at sea and cannot find there way home.

The suspense of the story was that her parents could or could not be alive. The setting took place in Coal Harbour, British Columbia. The conflict of the story was the way she always moved from place to place she did not have good structure in her life. It was a realistic story in a twisted way, because she had faith that her parents were still alive and that were stranded somewhere she did not believe they were dead. The story had its funny moments sometimes it made me want to laugh out loud. Primrose is a very dynamic character because she changes through the story and becomes a better person as she grows through the story and finding out who she is in life.

Everything on a Waffle was a roller coaster story. Food in general plays an important role in Primrose's story. Each chapter has its own special recipe. Through this novel Primrose is trying to find out her place in it all. From where her parents are to wether she stays in a foster home or even if her parents dont come back she is finding who she is through the novel. Every reader from ages ten and up should enjoy this roller coaster of a novel. At points it will make you want to cry and at others it will make you want to laugh. Readers will want to join Primrose on her story.
